Actually I'd prefer Hitler, people weren't living in abject poverty under him.I've no idea about Obama's motives, but I assume he knows Nader's a joke too.

Why is Nadar a joke? Obama refused to debate him because he didn't want to get exposed on a whole host of issues.Nadar gets his message out though for people who want to listen. If Hitler and Stalin were the two front-runners, you wouldn't get mad at a third party candidate for siphoning votes from Stalin, would you (I assume you would think Stalin was preferable)?

People would take control of their own lives and realize that everyone will be better off if they get together and organize. Land and capital would be viewed as communally owned, similar to library books, river water, etc. The key is to organize society so that everything is democratic and participation in the community is voluntary. The idea is that it is better off for you to volunteer to participate than to live on your own. That is the idea anyway.

Nader!? lol, that guy's a joke, runs every year and gets shot down violently. But hey, that's why the US ain't a democracy. (Btw we aren't guaranteed a democracy, but a republic by the constitution).Obama will be good I think, unless he turns out to be the antichrist like the conspiracy morons are saying.

o.k sorry for the slight attack. I admire his work alot as well, and agree with most of his political views. But I disagree with his recomendation of voting for Obama, in swing states (the tacktical vote - for the lesser of 2 eveils). That's wrong!Voted for Nader (To know and NOT to act, is not to know at all).

I said linguistic genius. He did great work in the field of linguistics, but I can hardly agree with his political philosophy.

too idealistic? I suppose Mozart was a great composer, but he used too many notes...

"The United States has essentially a one-party system and the ruling party is the business party"(Chomsky) i.e. the Corporation. Ralph Nader said: "Prepare to be disappointed" with Obama. We are now "One Corporate Obama-Nation under God".

At this point in our modern political climate, to be optimistic - period - is to be idealistic. |
