Dude, that is so hilarious that you noticed this! I was just saying the same exact thing about the strings and how cool they sounded. I don't have the resolution, but I bet that they are Flat wound to boot. Just big fat beasts. And as for the guitar, those switches as the bottom are very interesting. Did Fender have something called a switch master too?

Woah, talk about tone. Always wondered why that heavily reverberated guitar line sounded so simply fuckin' luscious - look at the size of the strings he's plucking! Gotta be 12's or 13's at least. & what model Fender guitar is that? Definitely no strat, nor jaguar. Jazzmaster maybe? What a fucking beauty. if he still has it it's worth a small fortune now. Love this old shit. Love it love it love it!
